Our membership is made up of citizens from all walks of life that spend countless volunteer hours each year hosting events that have become a part of Gilbert’s history and to maintain and promote Gilbert Rodeo Park. Located at the southeast corner of Val Vista and Ray Roads, Gilbert Rodeo Park is used by equestrian groups for horse shows, roping and other animal-related events, as well as by circuses, carnivals and corporations for family events.
The events that the GPC sponsors and hosts throughout the year are all done in order to raise funds that we in turn donate in various ways back to the community. We are especially dedicated to children and education. We are steady contributors to the Gilbert schools FFA programs, contributions to various high school bands for their trips to high profile events like the Rose Parade and an international trip to Mainland China and to the Chess Club to go to the national finals.
The Gilbert Promotional Corporation also sponsors two rodeos each year for young people. The first is the Junior Rodeo, which has 450+ participants ranging in age from 5 to 7 all the way up to 18 and also the high school rodeo drawing 200+ participants ranging in age from 14 to 18.
To support these efforts the Gilbert Promotional Corporation raises funds in many ways. We lease our arenas to various profit and non-profit organizations for their equestrian and roping events. We also host events throughout year to raise money to support our donations. It is estimated that in excess of 200,000 people each year come to events either sponsored or hosted by the GPC or hosted by other organizations that use Gilbert Rodeo Park. Our two biggest showcase events are the 4th of July and Gilbert Days.
